Villa La Milanina

Villa La Milanina is a complex consisting of an old house in typical Aeolian style (dated 1778) belonging to my family and two other independent flats overlooking the bay of Lipari with a beautiful view of the historic Castle surrounded by walls and the port of Marina Lunga! In the evening you can enjoy the coolness and the view of the bay and the illuminated Castle, while in the morning you can watch the sunrise right in front of the house. Not far from the main port and the historical center, about 780 meters, which you can reach by comfortably walking in about 10 minutes. La Milanina is also served by a bus service that stops not far from the house. Free parking space inside the property. The complex Villa La Milanina consists of three independent flats.

The villa consists of three zones, Limoni, Gelso and Mandorlo. All zones are recently renovated, very well maintained, and tastefully furnished. They all consist of independent masonry kitchens in classic Aeolian style and fully renovated bathrooms. In the Limoni area, the cottage, a beautiful double room to accommodate up to 2 people, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and a private terrace, with the characteristic Aeolian architecture composed of e-pulera and bisuoli (the columns with their masonry seats), equipped for meals and relaxation. In the Mandorlo area, the master bedroom with a double bed and a single sofa-bed to accommodate up to 3 people. Large traditional Aeolian masonry kitchen and bathroom with large shower. In the Gelso area, the living room has a comfortable double sofa bed and a loft with a double French bed to accommodate up to 4 people. The covered terrace is fully equipped with a dining table and lounge chairs for relaxing after a day at the beach or on a boat and enjoying the view of the castle and Lipari Bay in the background! Adjacent to the large central terrace situates the belvedere, complete with deck chairs and hammocks shaded by the century-old almond tree. Oriented to the east, you won't be able to miss breathtaking sunrises!

"With a friend of mine we spent a short holiday on the island of Lipari in June. We were lucky enough to find very comfortable accommodation in no time at all, taking Villa la Milanina, recently renovated, functional in all its components, cosy and furnished with great care inside and extremely impressive in terms of the impact of the landscape. In the evening we dined by candlelight on the typical Aeolian terrace, with a view of the illuminated castle and the sea. Immersed in nature, we also took advantage of the fruit trees, eating some very sweet apricots, encouraged by the owner Susanna, who showed extreme helpfulness and so much love for her home. What can we say, more, we were fine, everything seemed easy and smooth, even the comfortable bed and large bathroom. We'll end the review here so as not to spoil too much, but we do recommend this house which, avoiding the chaos of the town's alleyways, while being reached by a pleasant walk from the port, expresses, in a polite and complete synthesis, the taste and smell of this wonderful island. We will be back. Bravo, Susanna and Luca.." - M
